Cassandra Haddad

My name is Cassandra Haddad.

I had a very active upbringing living on 20 acres and having horses.

I competed in show jumping and dressage and just loved being around horses.

When I turned 18 we moved to Melbourne.  Just out of year 12 I got a part time job at Dick Smith Electronics and soon enough I had met my husband to be George.  

We were inseparable and lived life to the max.  We got engaged at 21 and decided that at 28 we would get married.

I did the usual thing many bride to be's would do and joined a gym and lost 10kg for our wedding.  A few months after our wedding I started to gain weight so I said to George we really need to get back into the gym.  George was already training at Dohertys so I joined up there and we started training together in August 2011.

This soon became something we loved.  George kept trying to convince me to compete.  I couldnt imagine myself onstage in a bikini, but with much talk about it over the month I soon agreed.  So the comp prep began for the 2012 FitX Expo.  It was very exciting and training got very intense but it was the best part of our day.

After a few months I saw some amazing results and it really motivated me to train harder.  George always pushed me and I really couldnt have done it without his unconditional support.  My prep went really well.

Competing at FitX was an amazing experience.  This was my first competition and I placed first.

I was so happy with the result and all my hard work had paid off.  Ive had a few months break and now im back training for fitx 2013.  Bigger and better.

I would like to thank my amazing husband for his unconditional love and support.  And my family and friends have truly been an amazing support also.
