About Josh: After breaking his leg he wasn't able to continue playing. So he did what any crazy teenage boy would do, and took up Zen do Kai and Muay Thai. After training for 3 years, he achived his goal of earning his Bushido Cross. It was then that he decided to take it to the next level of competing, where he won several tournaments. This resulted in a severely damaged ankle, requiring a full reconstruction, which meant he had to stop training. |

Josh had always lifted weights "on the side" while training in Martial Arts. With a busted ankle, and no longer able to participate in any contact sports, Josh had to find another passion. It was then that he decided that bodybuilding was his new thing. That didn't last long as he found it very unfulfilling working with unmotivated people who were full of excuses. So he decided just to focus on his own fitness journey. |

It wasn't until Josh was 31 that he felt he was ready to take the next step in his bodybuilding journey and competed for the first time at the 2010 WFF Queensland Championships. Josh is the first to admit that the dieting was tough, especially when you are working full time, and have 3 kids to look after, but he absolutely loved the end results... and that was it, he was hooked. |
