My story: I was always involved in team sports as a child and most of my weekends where spent playing hockey which was introduced to me by my mum who also loved the game. Growing up I always wanted to follow in the steps of my older brother so throughout school the desire to keep up with the boys in my class was fairly strong. I was always very competitive and was always trying to prove that females can play sport just as good as a male can. At the age of 15 I unwillingly moved out of home and shuffled between living with friends or family friends so I found it hard to keep up with my weekend sporting activities. Around this age I also started to get an odd amount of headaches and felt lower back pain quite regularly. This was when my GP told me I had a curvature in my spine and suggested I join a gym to strengthen my back muscles. Going to the gym fitted in perfect with my school schedule and from the day I stepped into that gym I’ve never looked back and thankfully the love for a healthy, active lifestyle has never left my side! |

I’ve always been interested in PT but I knew I wanted to explore the human body more deeply. I also knew that I wanted to pass on my love for sport/fitness and help to educate and encourage a healthy future for everyone. My ambition was to inspire women to achieve their goals and help them to understand that fitness is AWESOME and can be one of the most fulfilling habits we can have. Although in saying this it was clear to me that the way to inspire and fully educate females was to provide them with the right tools at a younger age, just like I was inspired when I was a teenager. This was when I decided that my goal was to become a Health and Physical Education Teacher in Secondary Schools. |

After four years of University and a Cert III and IV in fitness I am now only an internship away from achieving my goals as a HPE teacher in NSW/QLD. Through these years my passion for fitness has grown intensely and I also had the pleasure of meeting an amazing man who opened my eyes to bigger and better things and encouraged me not to stop once I reached my goals, but to aim higher. Although I've always been into weight training it has only been the past two years that I have taken my training more serious as the desire to compete grows stronger and stronger! My journey still is only half achieved! |

My Achievements: Making the top 10 in Australia for the Oxygen Magazine Cover Girl Competition - So many amazing entrants, just making the top 10 was an achievement for me. Writing my first Health and fitness article for 'The Sports Vault' and having a huge response Recently I have been recieving emails from both males and females in regards to how they can become fitter and healthier or how they can reach their potential. I absolutely love sharing my knowledge with others as I believe everyone has the ability to lead a healthy lifestyle. My most fulfilling achievement was the last email I recieved from someone I have never met saying that I was an inspiration to her and many others. She went on to say that she uses my photos for motivation when she is in one 'can't be bothered moods'. This email alone made my day/week. It was so nice of her to email me and tell me this and I'm so thankful. I never thought my dreams would start coming true and I never thought I would actually inspire people. What an amazing feeling! |

Additional info I would like to share: Eating clean, training hard and having a positive outlook on life through fitness is a lifestyle that I’ve chosen to live by and I just love to work out. I love the feeling of lifting heavy weights, and seeing how much I can improve within myself. I love training for that euphoric feeling of satisfaction when you walk out those gym doors to your car, nothing can beat that! It what makes you go back the next day and train even harder! This is my life, and I love surrounding it with like-minded people. I live to train and I can’t wait to show the world what I have worked hard for. |
