Background
I was heavily involved in sports since a young age, thanks to my family who always encouraged an active childhood. The sports included soccer, basketball, athletics and rugby union. I was always a skinny kid, and found it very hard to put on weight during these years. Music was also a passion since a young age, not just listening to it, but also playing! The drum kit was my instrument of choice and I am still playing today, 8 years on. Discovering iron

Getting serious It wasn’t until grade 11 when I had beaten many of the gyms senior records, I went and joined my local gym at Goodlife Hyperdome. After a few months Travis Retief and I approached Travis Reddington, interested in understanding more about the body and nutrition. We conducted one session a week with him, were he showed us a new intensity to weights training. We both found it very hard to finance a gym membership, personal training and supplements whilst both at senior school but we worked harder on weekends to keep up our expensive but rewarding hobby. |

Competing
This is where I met my training partners and good friends Pedro Relvas and Michael Nunn. At the beginning of 2010 I made a decision that I would compete in NABBA QLD at the end of that year. Travis Reddington supported my decision and coached me through to my contest. With great conditioning and symmetry at 19 years of age I came 1st place, beating 4 other solid competitors, years older then me. |

Special Mentions
It doesn’t just come down to the different attributes they both bring to the sessions (variety to exercise, volumes, intensity and techniques) but simply just showing up to the sessions, making each other accountable.
Thanks to my trainer Travis Reddington for getting me into bodybuilding and continuously showing me a new intensity and approach to diet and training, and for helping me to take out the NABBA QLD Junior title.
Finally thanks to my girlfriend Jody Little for helping me to become a better Personal Trainer supporting and encouraging me every step of the way. |

Bodybuilding has taught me many valuable traits to life, including discipline, consistency, focus and especially time management.
Time management is evident in my busy life as I have to find the time to run a full time personal training business, train 6 days a week, cook (and eat!) my meals, but also have made time to release an EP with my band The Passenger. The EP is called Sleeper and can be found on www.thepassenger.bandcamp.com and is free to download! If you are interested in personal training sessions, advice, or help with your training you can add me on Facebook, ring me on 0409 767 254 or email me on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
