Femi Olagoke - WBFF Pro

My name is Femi Olagoke I’m originally from Nigeria now residing in New York City.

I have been competing in sports since I was a child and found my love for Track & Field, gymnastics, dance & martial arts as a youngster. I am an ex collegiate conference champion in track & field triple jump.

After my college career was over, I still felt the need to compete and discovered fitness and bodybuilding. I began competing in fitness competitions in 2007 to motivate and challenge myself. I have competed in 14 shows and I enjoy the spirit of competition.

I am the guy who loves to be frequently active, training in dance, capoeria, gymnastics and much more.

In February 2010, I found out that I had a tear in my rotator cuff and had to have surgery in my left shoulder to repair it and this was at a time when I was riding high with training and auditions.

As of March 2010 my training had to be limited and eventually everything came to a screeching halt when I had the surgery in August 2010.

For 6 months, I could not train or do the things I loved to do physically which almost put me into depression and this was very challenging for me as most people know me to be the most active guy they know.

I managed to stay mentally focused and I was on the road to recovery and healing as I was training again for the WBFF US Central Championships in May 2011. My goal was to earn my pro card so I can get back to competing at the highest level.

After it was all said and done, I placed 4th and earned my pro card out of very tough competition of 40 guys.

I went on to compete at the WBFF world championship in the Pro Fitness Model division in Toronto in August 2011.

The experience made me realize that there is no greater feeling than sharing the knowledge and experiences I have had with others and decided to begin training people other than myself.

One of my goals now is to help people develop physically, personally and spreading the love of health , fitness & wellness around the world and the beauty that surrounds it!
