I played Rugby League from under 7s through to the age of 29. I was fortunate enough to play a season in England in 2005, and finished my career with a Brisbane Second Division Premiership with the Normanby Hounds in 2007. I had a lifelong interest in Strongman, and after my first contest in 2009 I was hooked. I have been lucky enough to compete in some big competitions, including Australia’s Strongest Man twice. |

I have competed against, and been mentored by, some of Australia’s strength legends, including Derek Boyer and Bill Lyndon. My long term goals in strongman are to win Australia’s Strongest Man, and to compete internationally at the Arnold Amateur Strongman in the US. My training is fairly straight forward loosely following Jim Wendler’s 5/3/1 template. At the moment I am experimenting with Markos Markopolous’s PPP template for Push Presses. |
