Health and Fitness is my Lifestyle Moto: Psalm 37:4

"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart."

'I punish myself to punish my opponents!'

'There is NO substitution for hard work!'

'Accept the pain, Make it your friend!' Take your pick ;)

Favorite Clean Meal: Protein Crepes or Oatmeal and Egg White Muffin with Almond or Peanut Butter

Favorite Off Season Meal: Name it! From double bacon avocado cheeseburgers and deep dish pizza to ice cream w/ donuts, deep fried snickers (or deep fried anything for that matter!) and any kind of cheesecake....I LOVE IT ALL!!! (It doesn't help that my sister is a baker and works in a high end candy store that my Bestie Aimee owns...WAAAHHHH!!!)

Favorite Body Part to Train: Upper body! Bis, Tris and Shoulders! WooHoo!

Favorite Exercise: Any kind of upper body circuit training

Favorite Supplement: ON Amino Chewables and ON Essential Amino Energy (the chewables taste better than sweet tarts and the amino energy tastes like fruit punch! YUM!)

My #1 priority is to be an example...spiritually, emotionally and physically! It IS possible to be the best YOU and to surpass every goal you may have!!! "...with God all things are possible!" Matthew 19:26

I want people to look at me & my life and I want them to be inspired to reach their goals and know that they CAN accomplish more than they ever thought they could. I have a super supportive husband of 6 years and a beautiful 3 year old son. I love spending family time at the Beach, Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, Sea World or on the couch watching all our favorite movies. As long as I'm with them I'm a happy girl!

My hobbies include spending time with my family my daddy, mommy, Becca my sister, Bubba my brother and of course my hubby Brent and my Little Lovey Taj Keoni! I have a blast doing anything outdoors and cooking! An early morning surf sesh, skateboarding around the neighborhood or at the beach, rock climbing, hiking...you name it, I love it! There's nothing like creating your own clean recipes. It's so fun experimenting and I love having my son in the kitchen helping me. It's one of the ways I introduce new and healthy foods to him...that way, he's not picky like his daddy! :)

I've always been active and athletic. I grew up practicing Chinese Kenpo with my dad (he's a 5th degree Black Belt and he's AMAZING!). In high school I played water polo, swam on the swim team (butterfly was my 2nd stroke) and was a cheer leader. I also ran on the cross country team, however, I discovered that I hated running and would pretend to pass out most of the meets to get out of running the entire race!

I started jogging/walking about 2 months after my son was born to try and loose the 75lbs I had gained while being pregnant. About a year later I had dropped a significant amount of weight and decided that I needed to tone up a bit.

I was embarrassed to go to the gym and hated the gym stereo type, the smell and just everything about "THE GYM!" It was intimidating! I asked a really good friend of mine and Bodybuilding Competitor Matt Mendrun to come over and show me a couple workouts.

I bought my own weights at local store and my transition began! I WAS HOOKED! About 2 months later a Golds Gym opened 3 walking minutes from my house and I decided to take the next step and join a gym. I loved it!

It got me out of my comfort zone, pushed me to do more and set higher goals. Matt and a couple other people in the gym had been encouraging me to take the next step and do my first Fitness Competition but, I never thought that was for me. I never thought I could look that lean and proportioned. In January 2011 I met an IFBB Figure Pro Mary Jo Cooke-Elliott.

She was so positive, beautiful and just amazing. She wrote out a meal plan for me and by February I was dieting and training for my first show. March 19, 2011 in San Diego California, I stepped on stage! Right now, I want people to know that the road may be long and hard but, a fit and healthy lifestyle is attainable.

For me, this journey has been about 3 years! It's not about being a size 2 or 110lbs.

It's about being healthy, overcoming your fears and conquering your goals!

It's our responsibility to be an example to future generations. We need to teach them healthy living, healthy thinking and self appreciation!

When my son is a teenager I want to be healthy and fit enough to surf, hike and skateboard with him. When he has children I want to be able to take them to the beach and run around with them!

Right now, I'm in the best shape of my life and when I'm in my 50's and 60's I want to be able to say "I'm in the best shape of my life!" This lifestyle is about living longer and living stronger to enjoy life with your family and help others in any and every way possible.

I believe everything we do, in some way, should be helping someone else. I'm here to encourage and motivate people to live healthy in every way! There is more to health and fitness than people think and I'm here to help others break barriers and push limits! Remember, no goal is too high and YOU ARE STRONGER THAN YOU THINK!

Enjoy the process and as my family quotes..."Accept the pain! Make it your friend!"
