Personal Trainer and owner of Conrad’s Performance Personal Training. Sports and exercise is in my blood. Since I was in nappies I was involved with Surf Life Saving and pool swimming and worked my way through the years and ranks until reaching an Advanced Life Guard level and even becoming QLD Surf Life Saver of the year three times. In the off season I would always play Rugby union, Rugby League (sometimes at the same time going from one game to the other) as well as Judo, Muay Thai and cross country running. I would compete in all these sports to a state level over the next 10 – 20 years. Throughout the years I would also complete in Swimming, Muay Thai, Athletics, Basketball cricket and surfing, all at a QLD representative level. I then moved into coaching and became a Life Saving instructor, swim coach and a strapper and trainer for profession rugby league and union clubs in Brisbane. |

After completing school I became an enrolled nurse and worked with spinal injuries and acquired brain injuries, and then went on to work in an office manager for QLD Health. However during this time I realised that traditional office work just wasn’t for me. I would attempt to get the gym or go for a run at every opportunity I could get and was frustrated at having to sit in front of a computer for 7 -8 hours a day. Eventually I was hired to the position of Advisor for the Dept. of Sport and Recreation QLD which involved implementing and assisting with programs such as the “Find your 30 min exercises per day” and the “Eat well be active” program as well as assisting professional sports clubs and individuals with obtaining funding from the government. It was during this time that I first thought of being a PT, hoping for a much more hands-on approach to helping the public get fit and healthy. I opened Conrad’s Performance Personal Training because I have a passion for helping people from all walks of life to achieve their health and fitness goals. Now with over 20 years Coaching, Training, Conditioning, Nursing, Strength Training, Injury Rehabilitation and Advising the Qld Government on the Sport and Recreation Industry, I can offer clients more than just a Personal Trainer. I thrive on seeing my clients reach their fitness goals. It gives me the greatest thrill to see clients pushing themselves and reaching new limits every week.
Running Conrad’s Performance PT has been the highlight of my working life. I have had a 100% fitness goal achievement rate with my clients so far and am looking to continue that stat though out my career. Every day I look forward to meeting new clients and continuing on the fitness journey with my current clients. In my private life I am looking forward to marrying my beautiful fiancée Jennifer Hamilton (who you can also read about on Inspirational Bodies website under ‘Celebrating Life’) in September. In the future, I am looking forward to expanding some more, employing some more fantastic PTs to join the ranks and opening a range of sportswear, P4M (Perform) that is currently in the pipeline. For my own training I like to mix it up. I generally hit the gym 4 times a week; train in MMA and Muay Thai 3 -4 times per week. Im not into bulking as my main focus is Martial Arts, so I keep my strength to weight ratio high so I can be strong as I can in my current weight class and my cardio at the best level possible. On the weekend will do something completely different – ie, go for a surf, ocean swim, long run, hill sprints, HIIT session or even just kick the footy around with mates for a few hours. |
