GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT

My greatest achievement would definitely have to be winning my Pro Card at the FItX in Melbourne March 2011. It’s a true testament to prove that if you live and breathe something and strive day in day out to achieve a goal it is all possible.It just takes determination and a lot of dedication! The best thing about this sport is inspiring others to live for their dreams.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Newly in the fitness industry as a personal trainer in Perth Western Australia I decided I needed a goal to train towards, as I continually told my clients to do. So with that in mind I trained for my first bikini competition. When the day came for me to finally hit that stage I was hooked and since then I have lived anD breathed the competing lifestyle with determination to succeed. I love everything about the journey you take mentally and physically. The changes and improvements of your body every year you compete and the thrill and excitement of stepping on that stage knowing everything that you have worked so hard towards has got you to this point. And then you are back to the drawing board to do it all again, but better!

I am so happy with the path in life that I have chosen and I would not have my life any other way. If you want to be truly successful in this sport you cant take it half heartedly, you need to be strong mentally because that is the biggest battle.

SURROUNDING YOURSELF WITH POSITIVE PEOPLE

I am very fortunate to have such a supportive group of people around me. I have learnt over the years to surround myself with positive people. I would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for my loving mother and brother and knowing that my father is watching over me every step of the way. Majority of my friends are also in the fitness industry and have the love for the sport as I do, so I am truly lucky.. But I never thought I would be so lucky to have such an amazing partner. Also being a competitor he completely understands what I need to do and why I must do it.. He goes above and beyond being supportive and everything that I dreamed of having by my side.

WHICH FEDERATION?

I am an IFBB Girl through and through and I would not have it any other way. From the very moment I started competing  I looked at where I wanted to see myself and it was following in the footsteps of IFBB Pro’s such as Monica Brant and most recently Ava Cowan and Larissa Reis.

No matter what I always sticked to my plan of remaining feminine and being marketable. I didn’t care that other girls standing next to me where bigger than me or had more muscle, I knew exactly the look that I was after and exactly what they looked for in America so I stuck to my guns.

At the end of the day it paid off for me and I couldn’t be happier with the result. I have never been as proud as I am now to be apart of such a wonderful federation especially at a professional level. I could not have done it without the help of fellow IFBB associates Mike and Daniela O’Mara and also Nathan Page. Thank you for your ongoing support and believing in me from the moment I hit that stage.
